Sausage Bread

A loaf of french bread stuffed with a sausage/spinach mixture and sliced and served.

Ingredients:
1 lb of sausage
1/2 chopped green pepper
1/4 cup chopped onion
1 package frozen chopped spinach
8 oz shredded mozarella
1 large loaf french bread
1 tsp butter or margarine
Directions:
Brown sausage with green pepper and onion. (Do not discard grease) Cut the top off loaf of french bread and set aside. Hollow out the loaf saving the middle and tearing into small pieces. Thaw spinach and squeeze out water. Mix sausage mixture, bread, spinach and mozarella. Stuff the mixture into the hollowed out loaf. Replace the top. Wipe the butter or margarine over the top. Wrap in aluminum foil and bake 15 minutes. This can be made ahead and baked at a later time but baking time should be increased.
Comments:
Can be served as an hordoeuvre or meal.
